The engine does not have a turbo so there is no turbo lag, and no turbo to fail, also it does not have the PD (high pressure injector) technology so parts are cheaper. Insurance is a bit less than the turbo models. Not the fastest car ever, it can't go up hills in 5th but it is good on the motorway.

Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007) Oil warning light keeps beeping randomly. Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Skoda Fabia 1.2 HTP, 55 reg. The car was working and running fine until a few days later the oil warning light appeared on the clock dash. At first I thought it would be low oil level, upon getting this checked, it was fine and topped up.

Skoda Fabia petrol engines. The entry-level 1.0-litre MPI version produces 60hp and 95Nm of torque, good for 0-62mph in 16.4 seconds and a top speed of 98mph. It’s cheap to buy and run but quite slow in most situations. It’s unlikely to delight more enthusiastic drivers and we’d consider either the more powerful 95hp 1.0-litre TSI turbo

No, you are wrong, chain related failures are rare on mk2 HTP engines and usually associated with extreme lack of regular oil/filter changes or wrong oil used. You are probably confusing this with 1.2 tsi engines (2010-2012) or very early Mk1 fabia engines (2000-2003) Should be plenty of good HTP engines to be had from accident write offs, but
Pop the rubber boot off in the door shut on the drivers side. It unclips from top. Pull back the boot and check for broken wires. If they are ok disconnect the multi plug and reconnect, see if they start working again. 1.
Škoda Fabia. Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014) Petrol engines advice if buying a mk2. Over in the mk.1 forum I've been getting some great advice as i've been contemplating an old mk1 when our leased Yeti has to go back in 8 weeks time. But i'm also considering the option of spending a bit more and getting a mk2 (07/08/09/10 plate) and maybe an Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007) P0172 but emissions ok. Hi all, My fabia 2003 mk1 1.2 54htp is showing a fault code p0172 bank 1 running rich yet it has just passed its Mot. Is this a common fault I have searched everywhere for possible causes as to why im getting this code i clear it and it returns within a few days I would of assumed that if it Content of this video: 00:00 Intro 01:07 Bad fuel quality 01:33 Loose or faulty gas tank cap01:57 Air leaks02:57 Filthy throttle body03:30 Faulty PCV valve o pC7Q.
